Presenting Kusama
I have clearly had great success in recent days with my alt-coin crypto picks. Let me lay another one on you: Kusama, symbol $KSM. What I like in particularly about this creature is the volume. Notice how the dish-shape of the price action aligns well with the dish-shape of the volume. That’s just what I like to see.
By the way, because CryptoStream has become remarkably feature-rich, I have brought the portcullis down around it, and it is now a members-only feature. Don’t worry, Bronze and Silver folks, you get it too. Any of you Sloper-level folks that would like to have access, it’s just a click away. As of now, everyone still has access to the crypto charts with whatever amount of historical back data their account level permits.
Solar Fractal
Well, my favorite-of-all positions Solana (symbol $SOL) is still a champ. The crypto scene had some seriously rough sailing yesterday evening (as The Director described it in comments, an “air pocket”) and it was solid red everywhere you looked, with most coins down about 10% or so. There’s still a strong gravitational tug going on, but $SOL continues to defy them, in spite of getting hit pretty hard itself during the aforementioned air pocket. What I love about this critter is how, even at various degrees of granularity, the pattern plays out the same. Here it is very close up………..
Positions Update
Below are my five crypto positions (with the sizes hidden). They are all profitable – – Solano, markedly so – – and, importantly, I’m including stop-loss prices. As always, click for a bigger image.
I am planning on rolling out two improvements in the next 24 hours:
- SlopeAlerts compatibility with cryptocurrencies (including chart-based alerts);
- Computation of risk (both $ and %) within CryptoStream.
Crypto Transformed
On Saturday morning, I woke up after a refreshing night’s sleep with my beautiful wife sleeping next to me. Since I had nothing to attend to, I did what any red-blood American would have done at that moment: I thought about how to judge the relative strength of various cryptocurrency positions.
After exploring the technical studies and having no luck, it dawned on me to use a feature I had almost forgotten about: Transformations! So I created a new Transformer which divided any given symbol by the granddaddy of them all, Bitcoin.
